Robert Cooperstein, BA, MA, DC
Dr.
Cooperstein earned his Bachelor Degree from the State University of New
York at Stony Brook, his Masters Degree in Economics from the
University of California at Berkeley and his Doctor of Chiropractic
from Life Chiropractic College West.
He has
published over 50 peer-reviewed chiropractic and medical journal
research articles, authored several book chapters and published four
popular textbooks. He peer reviews for Journal of Chiropractic
Medicine, Chiropractic Research Journal, Consortial Center for
Chiropractic Research, and Association of Chiropractic Colleges
Symposium. He has been an invited lecturer multiple times at American
Back Society, Palmer Lyceum, Annual Conference on Research and
Education, International Conference on Spinal Manipulation, World
Federation of Chiropractic Conference, Chiropractic Centennial
Foundation Conference, Intercollegiate Conference on Technique
Fundamentals, and Interdisciplinary World Congress on Low Back &
Pelvic Pain.
Currently he is a Professor, Coordinator of the Department of Technique
and Research, Chair of the Department of Technique and Management, and
Administrative Research Coordinator at Palmer Chiropractic College
West. His committee appointments at Palmer Chiropractic College West
include Continuing Education; Academic Standards; Preceptorship;
Academic Management Group; Chair, Physiology-Pathology; and Chair,
Technique. Dr. Cooperstein is a Member of Palmer Center for
Chiropractic Research and a Faculty member of the Institute of
Evidence-Based Chiropractic.
Dr. Cooperstein has received the Centennial Commission Award in
Chiropractic History and is a three-time recipient of the prestigious
Presidential Award in Instruction. He is a Consultant and Test
Committee Member for the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and
serves as Secretary of the Technique Committee of the Association of
Chiropractic Colleges. Dr. Cooperstein has practiced chiropractic in
Oakland, California for over 20 years.
