Thomas Souza, DC, DACBSP
Dr.
Souza is currently a Professor and Dean of Academic Affairs at Palmer
College of Chiropractic West and a Faculty member of the Institute
of Evidence-Based Chiropractic. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic
from Cleveland Chiropractic College and is a Diplomate of the American
Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. Dr. Souza practiced as a
chiropractor in San Mateo, CA for almost a decade.
He has published in peer-reviewed chiropractic and medical journals,
written a famous sports column, entitled “Chiropractic Sports
Physician” and authored several book chapters. Dr. Souza is
author of Sports Injuries of the Shoulder
published by Churchill Livingstone and is author of the highly praised,
Differential Diagnosis and Management for the Chiropractor:
Protocols and Algorithms, published by Jones &
Bartlett, now in its third edition.
He has served on the editorial board for Topics in Clinical Chiropractic
and Journal of the Neuromusculoskeletal System. He also peer reviews
for Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutic. Dr. Souza
is known for both his clinical and academic achievements and serves
as a consultant to athletes, doctors, and attorneys. He frequently
lectures nationally and internationally in both post-graduate and
conference settings.
