John Taylor, DC, DACBR
Dr.
Taylor earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic
College, a Diplomate in Chiropractic Radiology from the Los Angeles
College of Chiropractic, and completed a research fellowship in musculoskeletal
imaging at the University of California. He practiced as a chiropractor
in Vancouver, Canada for almost a decade. He is currently a Professor
of Radiology and Director of the Masters of Science in Diagnostic
Imaging program at the New York Chiropractic College. He is a Faculty
member of the Institute of Evidence-Based Chiropractic.
At New York Chiropractic College, Dr. Taylor teaches courses in
bone and joint imaging and Issues in chiropractic research and also
oversees clinical imaging services. He is currently Chair of the
Committee on Faculty Appointments and Promotions and serves on several
other College committees, including the Institutional Review Board.
Dr. Taylor is a Radiological Consultant to the Canadian Chiropractic
Examining Board and British Columbia College of Chiropractors. He
was formerly President of the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology.
Dr. Taylor’s original research, review articles, and other
publications have been published in peer reviewed biomedical journals.
He is the co-author of Skeletal Imaging: Atlas of the
Spine and Extremities published by W.B. Saunders,
which has been translated into Spanish and Italian editions. He
has also authored several text book chapters. He is a member of
the American Chiropractic College of Radiology, the Canadian College
of Chiropractic Radiology, and Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College.
He was recently honored as an Honorary Life Member of the British
Columbia Chiropractic Association.
Dr. Taylor is on the editorial boards of Journal of the Canadian
Chiropractic Association and Topics In Diagnostic Radiology and
Advanced Imaging. He is a manuscript reviewer for Biomed Central
and Journal of Manipulative and Physiologic Therapeutics. Dr. Taylor
has been an invited speaker at professional conferences, seminars
and meetings throughout the U.S., Canada, Australia and Great Britain.
