Our Mission and Values

At IEBC we are deeply committed to our mission and values. These statements are not mere words. They shape how we think, communicate, and act.

Mission
Our purpose is to teach the principles of evidence-based chiropractic. The aim of our teaching is to improve clinical decision-making, thereby improving the outcomes for all stakeholders: patients, payors, providers and society.

Values
• Treating others with respect, dignity, fairness, and honesty
• Listening actively to others’ requests, comments, and concerns
• Striving to constantly increase our competence
• Performing our tasks with knowledge and skill

The IEBC Code of Ethics
I promise to the best of my ability and judgment:
• to act with integrity, truthfulness and honesty.
• to commit myself to the welfare of each patient.
• to treat all patients with respect, compassion and kindness.
• to never disclose the private matters of my patients.
• to communicate in a clear manner so that the patient may choose the most appropriate form of care.
• to refer to other health care professionals when doing so would enhance the patient's recovery.
• to honor the scientific gains of the past and carefully measure the research of the future.
• to contribute to society and strive to improve the state of nature and humanity.
• to balance the scientific and artistic aspects of health care.
• to be willing to share my knowledge.

It is my hope that by keeping this pledge, I will be providing the best possible care for my patients.
