Designed to assist practitioners who wish to enhance their skills from the comfort of their home or office, this interactive program can be accessed directly through the internet.
Program Objectives
The chief aim of this program is to provide critical thinking strategies that enable practitioners to move beyond personal experience. Participants will address clinical decisions through a critical thinking process and will learn to:
• Improve patient outcomes
• Protect patients from misleading claims
• Question the assertions of treatment benefits and harms
• Select and/or deselect interventions based on evidence
• Understand the various levels of evidence
Program topics include:
• Applying evidence and making health care decisions
• Selecting the best information source
• Research fundamentals and judging evidence
• Clinical trial, cohort, and case-control design
• Qualitative studies
Program Tuition
